Position Summary

Advanced Roofing is seeking for a motivates and Result-driven Individual to join our team as a Director of Procurement. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and have a passion for optimizing processes and driving cost efficiency

This position requires a person with a high sense of urgency and drive for leading, managing and directing the Purchasing/Supply Chain Management activities, processes, and resources. In this role, your performance and success is critical in assisting the operations team to perform more efficiently and effectively and allow the Company to achieve material costs goals. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and fostering a relationship with our suppliers/supply chain partners, drive the implementation of procedures to manage and control our supply and developing best-in-class inventory strategies, in conjunction with the Director of Material Operations and Inventory Control

Key Responsibilities

  •  Managing, mentoring and developing a team of 6 staff (purchasing and receiving), establishing performance standards, and continuous improvement goals for all roles. Provide specific coaching/training to the team on job and specific development targets being set.
  • Recommend and implement technology solutions to optimize material management
  • Manage the company’s day‐to‐day purchasing activities and ensure that all buyers are meeting their personal performance standards. This includes making certain that all requisitions and orders are prepared and fulfilled timely. This role will require hands‐on functional requirements in order to ascertain that operating volume is fulfilled timely.
  • Evaluate and develop material and inventory strategies for the business, working closely with the Director of Material Operations and Inventory Control.
  • Develop and manage a key supplier performance program, and provide reporting to management as it pertains to supplier performance. Build and improve supplier relationships and conduct key supplier business reviews on a quarterly basis targeted:
